Eudora Schools
I have worked at Eudora Schools since June 2022! Below are examples of my involvement, experiences, and leadership in the Eudora School District. Please click on each title to learn more about its specifics!
Social Media/Website Management/Graphic Design
I manage the Eudora School social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) with the use of Class Intercom, a way to post to everything with one creation.
I am the Eudora Schools webmaster in charge of the development of the new site.
Creation/Unification of the Eudora Schools Brand
I have helped Eudora Schools create its brand by unifying colors, fonts, and logos. I have tied these into the graphics and websites and shared them with others in the district so they are aware of the brand.
Primary contact for public relations and community partners
I serve as the point of contact for community partners.
Recruitment and Retention of new Eudora Schools staff
Improved recruitment strategy
Developed retention initiatives
Attend Academic (District Administration) and Operations (Directors) meetings
Once a month, there is an Academic Team meeting as well as an Operations team meeting.
Assist the Director of Human Resources with various campaigns
Whenever the Director of Human Resources has information that needs to be shared with the entire district, she will come to me to create graphics and assist in the distribution.
Attending Board of Education meetings and producing Board Briefs
Once a month, the Eudora Schools Board of Education meets. I take notes and then post a brief about them.
Creation of a district wide newsletter
In an effort to streamline internal communication, we have implemented a district newsletter.
Communicating on the Eudora Schools Bond
In May 2023, the Eudora community voted on a school bond issue. With this issue, there needs to be clear consistent communication about how much the bond is for and what it will be used for.
Sending out communication to families through BlackBoard
Whenever there is a notification that needs to go to all parents or staff (e.g. snow day), I send them out via BlackBoard.
KanSPRA
I am a member of the Kansas School Public Relations Association and have attended each bi-annual conference and many regional meetings. I plan to continue my professional development and education in school communication.
