Community Hornets Instagram Page
During April, National Volunteer Month, I was given access to run the Community Hornets Instagram page. I ran a campaign called Be The Change, which was about the month of service opportunities that I implemented. The Community Hornets Instagram page was lacking in engagement, so my goal was to boost this as well as showcase the different volunteer opportunities that were happening. Looking at the insights tab on their profile I was able to see that I reached +11,433% more accounts compared to the week before I took over. Below you can see the insights overview as well as a variety of other content I posted. Each of the post was created with the Emporia State University brand in mind. There is a single hashtag that was used (#ESUServes) on each post as well as shared with the students if they wanted to post on their accounts. I created a GroupMe where I posted reminders and updates about the events. This was linked on a variety of different stories as well as included on the flyer. There was a number of cross promotion. I made an effort to tag a variety of different student organization, athletic teams, and other campus affiliated accounts to ensure they would see the events. The accounts who I tagged generally reposted it to their stories. Emporia State's main Instagram account reposted the stories and occasionally reposted the actual posts to their story.
